Many years ago...
As a kid, I corrected my friends' grammar and spelling in the neighborhood (really) and graduated to helping good writers get to be better writers just by thinking, talking, and listening.

Today, we still think, talk, and listen in my classes, as well as laugh about the English language and some of our difficulties in communicating.
