According to the Associated Press, your choice of typeface can save you money. Printer.com, a Dutch company, persuaded the University of Wisconsin at Green Bay to switch from Arial to Century Gothic for an expected savings of $5,000 to $10,000 per year (6500 students; $100,000 per year spent on ink and toner cartridges). Century Gothic uses about 30 percent less ink than Arial.
Printer.com says the most ink-friendly typefaces are Century Gothic and Times New Roman.
