The Doctor is IN!

I’m not refudiating common wisdom about Sarah Palin. . .

. . . but for a slightly different opinion about correct grammar, read Robert Lane Green’s CNN Post about National Grammar Day.

My thanks to Jeff Dusick for the heads up.

Happy National Grammar Day!

What a day to celebrate! Visit the official website of National Grammar Day to see some great pictures and videos.

Grammar is dear to my heart, but I recognize that correctness in writing is not necessarily intuitive. I understand this even more as I study Spanish grammar. Learning grammar requires drill and practice and memorization (admittedly, more so in a foreign language than in a native language). However, most people don’t even know where to go to learn correct English.

In the near future, I will be posting resources for writers who want to be correct. Please check back regularly.

National Grammar Day is March 4

Only two days to go until National Grammar Day (March 4)!

On that page, check out the  t-shirt that I absolutely want…
